4 Best Cardio Machines For Weight Loss. Useful Points to Know

Have you ever set foot in a gym, only to find an endless number of different cardio machines with no clue on where to even start? You’ll find cardio machines ranging from elliptical to treadmills to stairclimbers and many more, but which cardio machines work the best in aiding your goal to lose weight without any complications? Before we begin, there are three main things that you should remember when choosing a cardio machine.

1. Pick a cardio machine that doesn’t require much skill.

Cardio machines don’t have to be high-tech or gimmicky so you would be better off with sticking to one that is simple and very easy to use. The ideal goal here is to find a cardio machine that is simplistic and mechanical in nature. That way your body will naturally move the way it would as if you’re outdoors–walking or running.

2. Find a cardio machine that you’re comfortable with and stick with it.

Our primary concern when working with a cardio machine is to minimize any risk of injury. It is important to keep your connective tissues and joints healthy throughout a cardio session. This also will reduce aggravation of any injuries you may have as well. Any form of injury, big or small, will put a halt on your weight loss progress and it is something we should avoid at all costs. Start with experimenting with different machines and see how your body responds. If it’s comfortable to your taste then by all means stick with that machine. However, if you experience any discomfort, steer clear of it right away!

3. Keep your cardio sessions short and intense.

There are several reasons why it’s important to keep a cardio session short and intense. You don’t have to spend as much energy diverting your focus onto balancing yourself or maintaining a specific form throughout a cardio session. Imagine yourself running on a treadmill platform where space if pretty much limited compared to running on an open ground. That much of a difference will have an impact on your body and unnecessary energy wasted. Thus, it is better to aim for a few miles instead of running an hour long marathon.

Now that we have all three important criteria covered, I’d like to recommend the four best cardio machines that involve low impact exercise, going hand-in-hand with weight loss.

Recumbent Bike

The recumbent bike operates similar to the stationary bike but the difference is that your body is in a seated position. This machine is often recommended for those looking to reduce stress off their lower back which is a bonus for those who have nagging lower back problems from the past.

Stairclimber

This is one of my favorite cardio machines. A stairclimber involves low impact movements which helps you keep your focus and maintain the intensity without interrupting your flow. It’s a nice replacement for those who cannot find stairs to walk on.

Treadmill

Treadmills are a great choice for those who prefer an interval style of training as a replacement for outdoor running. The platforms are professionally designed to reduce impacts on the joints. Plus, you have the option to control the difficulty level by either increasing or decreasing the speed and you can raise the platform to form an incline.

Upright Stationary Bike

If you’re looking for a low impact exercise that’ll help you maintain a high level of intensity without losing balance, this is the machine you’re looking for. Both recumbent and upright stationary bikes are recommended for their ease of use because they are easily programmable to meet your standards.

To sum it up, these four machines are highly recommended due to their relative ease of use–and not to mention, they involve low impact exercises which is a plus for any existing injuries that you may have, easing the pain on your connective tissues and joints. Lastly, choose a cardio machine that is simple and straightforward so that it’ll help YOU focus by picking a cardio machine that is simple and straightforward. This way, you can focus on high intensity training rather than focusing your attention on mechanics.

Weight Loss - An Addiction? Helpful Things to Keep in Mind

Let me explain it first in simple terms. You do everything you do because you think it will make you happy or feel good.

The human is gifted with the capacity to interpret 400 billions pieces of data per second, where as our conscious awareness only 2000 pieces of data. To the layperson that’s a pretty remarkable feat. The speed, at which the data is received, interpreted and responded to, goes far beyond the imagination and the body goes quietly about its job without ever missing a beat.

It is as though there is a seamless flow from one moment to the next but in actuality what you have been doing has a real effect on the emergence of what comes to the present, or the moment of now and it disappears leaving room for the next pocket of energy fulfilling the next appearance of now.

May I recommend two of my favorite authors who are bringing light to this subject matter, research cellular biologist, Dr. Bruce Lipton, PhD author of Biology of Belief and Evolve Your Brain, by brain scientist Dr. Joe Dispenza, DC. These fabulous books will enlighten you in very exciting ways giving you a sense of new freedom, and possibility.

Your system learns at a very early age what it needs to do to survive according to the beliefs and assumptions it has been given by you. The criteria for response has everything to do with learned instructions and if the action taken works it will continue to respond consistently to those patterns of success.

A puppy dog who may have been smacked across the nose by it’s owner, the reason being irrelevant, will quickly back away anytime it recognizes the hand going up in an apparent repeat of that earlier action. It becomes a learned automatic response not a conscious choice. Animals have a keen sense for reading the vibration of people and animals in their environment. It seems to know friend or foe based on whether it senses a threat and at a biological level, these seemingly instant interpretations cause the signals to the brain releasing adrenalin to every cell I in the body.

The average computer user cannot understand how it is that you can hit the return key and Google will track in lightening speed a seemingly endless set of matches. The human capacity has infinitely greater capacities.

So how is being over weight an addiction? For the person who is in constant need of changing their appearance, actually gives attention to the subject implicitly or explicitly thereby making it real. What you give attention to becomes real. The physical structure always is reminding you that you are over weight even when you are not directly thinking about it even though you might have an entire list of reasons why you desire to lose weight. Let’s say you think you would have a better chance of finding a relationship if you were thin. And if you had a relationship, you think you would feel better about yourself, happy in fact.

The addiction is to the belief that you are not lovable the way you are (overweight) and you know yourself to be a person who is overweight.

The addiction is the constant desire to change your appearance. And what you are addicted to becomes real or remains real. The more you want to feel good about yourself, perhaps by having someone love you, the more you resist being overweight, the brain signals to yours cells to survive the appearance as you know it. It’s a circular trap.

The reason I used this example is because it has many variations, we can have very complex stories about our identity. This of course is to just give you a taste of how we can do things to rid ourselves of unwanted behaviors yet the net effect becomes counter productive and worse it can strengthen our biological resiliency to protect the appearance of who we are. It doesn’t make any moral or judgmental interpretations.

You might discover that almost everything we do in life is for reasons other than what we think. The great news is this. The single most deliberate thing you can do to provide you with the fundamental desires you have in life is to pursuit happiness. Sounds strange perhaps but to seek happiness and joy for no apparent reason will over a short period bring about the situations and circumstances you’ve been wanting.

And when you can learn to let go of the constant grip you have on the ‘negative’ emotions you feel, you will find those unwanted yet persisting aspects you experience, clear up just in the process of life itself.

If you understand about the power of directing your emotions in a particular kind of way, you may wish to visit

Biofeedback has advanced beyond our imagination. You can discover and manage your emotions such as to seek and dicover more joy and happiness than you can imagine. And because of computers the cost is affordable yet the advances have been remarkably pleasing.

Stop by when you can.

Jump-Start Your Weight Loss With a Detox Program. Interesting Information to Take Into Consideration

In recent years detoxifying the colon has been gaining popularity in the natural health community. Proponents say that benefits of the therapy include weight loss, better health and potential for increasing our life span. Is detoxification necessary for our bodies or is it is hype and potentially harmful? Who can you believe and should you include a detox therapy in your weight loss plan?

Let’s first take a look at the pros of doing a detox plan, or cleanse. Ryan Harrison, M.A., of Natural Healing Today Magazine, states: “The human body is an amazing thing. In its healthiest state it has the ability to keep itself clean and relatively poison-free.” Harrison’s statement makes the assumption that we are in a perfect world.

Now let’s balance this statement with a few facts about our environment today:

• Over 20% of Americans live in areas that exceed smog standards

• Most drinking water contains over 700 chemicals

• Over 3,000 chemicals are regularly added to our food

• 3 out of 5 Americans will have at least one parasite during their lifetime

So is periodic detoxification important? Harrison and many other experts conclude that in today’s environment, we are exposed to more chemicals and pollutants than our bodies can process, and that most of us will need to support our colons periodically through some type of detox program. Further, I calculated that we digest over 82,000 meals during an average life span of 72 years! With this amount of digestion complicated by environmental pollutants you have to wonder, what’s the ultimate outcome of this lifestyle? Experts agree that poor colon health can compromise our immune systems, and potentially reduce our life span.

Health benefits aside, is a cleansing program going to help you lose weight? Health and wellness publishers, including. Other experts agree that colon cleansing can provide gentle and effective methods that restore the intestinal health and at the same time facilitate weight loss. It has been estimated that we carry as few as 5 extra pounds and as many as 25 extra pounds of extra weight in our colons. So as for weight loss, depending on how long you cleanse, products advertise that you will lose from 5 to 25 lbs.

Now let’s take a look at the possible downside of detox programs. Since the use of detoxing hasn’t been studied long enough, there isn’t any substantial scientific proof that it works. Most of the argument against cleansing warns us that it is not a silver bullet to our weight loss and health concerns. Another concern is that when using such a regimen people will overlook annual health screenings. I agree, in that I am a proponent of regular health screenings. I also agree that detoxifying is not a silver bullet. While it may remove excess matter from the colon, it does not specifically remove fat. Therefore, you want to use such products in conjunction with a following a healthy weight loss program aimed at fat loss and muscle retention.

If you decide to try a detox program, you will notice the wide variety out there today. Make sure you purchase a quality product, which has solid customer testimonials, and that is was developed by a qualified professional. Following a healthy diet and a using a quality detox product could give you that jump-start toward reaching your weight loss goals today!

Weight Loss Foods Made Simple. Helpful Info to Take Into Consideration

Losing weight is difficult for everyone. Wouldn’t it be great if there was magical weight loss food: you just eat it and fat loss happens? Sadly, there’s no food which does that. Nevertheless, some foods do help.1. Choose food you like. Going on the cabbage-soup diet is a big mistake if you dislike the taste of cabbage. The same goes for fish, tofu and other so-called “weight loss food”. If you don’t like it, you won’t eat it and instead reach for the junk food. Likewise, don’t turn to slimmer shakes or bars if you don’t like them. You’ll end up treating them like a punishment and “reward” yourself later with other, less nutritious fare. Food is meant to be enjoyed. That’s not to say you can’t experiment. There are countless recipes available, many of them low in fat, calories and carbohydrates. Many recipes are healthier versions of dishes that are notoriously sinful. Look online to see for recipes that combine new weight loss food with ingredients you know you like.2. Follow the U.S. Food Pyramid. The familiar pyramid is a very reasonable guideline to choosing the best nutrients for your body. While it doesn’t list weight loss foods, by following the pyramid, you will be eating more nutritious foods, such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein while avoiding added fats, sugar and salt. Follow the pyramid’s guidelines and you will lose weight.3. Find reasonable ways to meet your cravings. Do you find yourself regularly wanting a milk shake? Then it may be that your body needs more dairy products. Think about what you’ve been eating lately — is it short of dairy products? If so, grab a piece of low-fat cheese instead. Likewise, if you are craving sweets: have a piece of fresh fruit instead of candy. [...] Continue Reading…
